Investigate Together!

We’re a podcast for kids ages 7 to 107, which means we are perfect for family listening! Our goal is to lay the groundwork for our listeners, giving them enough facts to get started. We hope they’ll continue with some collaborative research – investigating with their friends and families!

Episodes: Let the Investigation BEGIN!

Episode 1: Titanic

The Detectives investigate the sinking of Titanic, one of history’s most famous disasters. But was it a man-made disaster, or a natural disaster of disastrously epic proportions? You might think you know the answer, but do you? DO YOU???

Episode 2: Earthquakes

Duck for cover! Earthquakes have been around since the beginning of, well, earth. The ground beneath us is always moving, and humans weren’t always as prepared for disaster as we are now…

Episode 3: Dino Disaster

We know the dinosaurs went the way of the Dodo long ago – or did they? What exactly happened to the dinosaurs, and – gulp! – could it happen to us?!

Episode 4: Bermuda Triangle

Sunshine, breezes, drinks with little umbrellas in them, disappearing without a trace – wait, what?! Beware the Bermuda Triangle! Should you choose to enter, the consequences could be DISASTROUS….

Episode 5: Airship Down!

Whether it’s called an airship, Zeppelin, or blimp, when something goes wrong – it REALLY goes wrong!

Episode 6: Killer Lakes

Once upon a time, there was a peaceful blue lake in the beautiful Cameroonian countryside. Birds chirped, cattle grazed, and people farmed. Then, a strange mist rolled in… Welcome to our weirdest disaster yet.

“We listen to podcasts on the way to school, and we love The Disaster Detectives because it takes a situation that could be terrifying and makes it feel less scary. It teaches kids that to solve problems sometimes you have to face your fears. Answers are out there and information is power.”
